An established career in the financial services industry. A degree in Economics and Psychology from Columbia University. Experience with a private UK bank in Manhattan. An AIL World candidate? Yes! Rachel Arenas didn’t hesitate to make the move to AIL World.
“My first impression was that AIL World was a big company,” Rachel said about her first meeting. “Lots of people were interviewing and they were all in suits. I liked the things the company said and I thought, if this is all true and I can make it happen – this will be great. ”
Rachel started in the Redmond office just outside Seattle and her first six months were a whirlwind of success. She obtained her insurance license for the State of Washington within two weeks. She earned her first promotion to Supervising Agent within three months. And, she earned her Master General Agent promotion just three months later. “When I first started, I dreamed about retiring after 10 years because that is when you become fully vested with renewals from all the policies you’ve ever sold. I didn’t want to stop working after that, but I thought my AIL World career would give me a good financial base so I could do something else.”
Fast-forward five years. Rachel is now a Regional General Agent in Southern California. She’s earned the honor of attending the American Income Convention. And she is one of the best in AIL World. “Now that I see the reality of the opportunity, I want more. I see people I know becoming Partners and I want that too,” said Rachel.
Helping others is what keeps Rachel going. “One of the things I am most proud of was helping someone in my office earn her promotion to MGA. She earned it all herself, but it makes me proud like when a parent helps their child ride a bike for the first time.”
Rachel is equally passionate about helping members protect their families. “My very first policy was to a couple named Scott who was a firefighter and his wife Jennifer. A few months later Scott had a heart attack – he was just 29 years old and he and his wife just had a new baby. If I hadn’t explained the benefits to Scott and Jennifer, Scott wouldn’t have been able to get insurance through any company because he had a heart attack under 40 years old. But, because he became a policy holder, he will never be denied coverage through American Income and he can protect his family.”
Rachel comments, “The best thing about AIL World is the culture. It is full of fun, ambitious, hard-working people who are competitive, but never in a negative way. It is a big company, but it has that family-owned company feel; AIL Partners allows me to have a balance of life and work.” |
